Opportunity Group
Opportunity Group is a fully inclusive ‘Stay and Play’ session offering a variety of experiences for families to share together.
The group welcomes babies and toddlers to join in the fun.
Our groups
Morning and afternoon sessions take place on Wednesdays at St Paul’s Church, Heaton Moor and on Fridays at Emmanuel Community Church on Green Lane, Heaton Moor.
Morning sessions run from 9.45am to 11.15am and afternoon sessions run from 1pm-2.30pm.

What can I do at Opportunity Group?
At our Stay and Play sessions, children can explore a wide range of engaging activities designed to spark curiosity and support development.
They can get hands-on with sensory play, dive into imaginative small‑world setups, build and problem‑solve in the construction area, or enjoy quiet moments sharing books in our cozy reading spaces. Babies have their own dedicated area with age appropriate resources and space to crawl, roll and explore! There is also a creative area where children can explore different media each week and an array of toys and resources to support children’s physical development.
Each session includes a snack time where families come together, followed by an inclusive sensory singing session to close the group.
It is a welcoming, nurturing environment where children can play, connect, and thrive alongside their families.
Our staff are Paediatric First Aid trained, complete regular Safeguarding training and have completed Food Handling training.
